The Visuals for Kenzo & H&M with Iman x Chance the Rapper

A few weeks ago you got to see what went down backstage at this shoot, If you are a regular visitor at ILL’s :)…… Well in case you missed it the campaign for Kenzo x H&M dropping on November 3rd is shot by Jean-Paul Goude, the legendary French visionary behind some of Grace Jones’ greatest photos.

Jean-Paul, photographer and graphic designer known for his use of multiple mediums has been creating culturally-defining images since the 60’s, having shot Naomi Campbell, Bjork, and his long-time collaborator as earlier mentioned the one and only Miss Grace Jones. With the latest H&M x Kenzo collaboration  JP brings back his subversive, often sexually-charged images to the campaign, featuring campaign ambassadors Iman, Chance the Rapper, and Vietnamese artist Suboi.

The concept behind the ad- campaign is based on his signature “French Connection” technique, focused on highlighting and exaggerating the human anatomy by redesigning parts of the body and playing with repetition, all with bright colors.

This week H&M released interviews with the brand ambassadors for this campaign, Iman, Chance the Rapper and Suboi. Click above for the epic Visuals from JP and watch below supermodel Iman talking about fleeing Somalia on foot for Kenya as a child. “I am the face of a refugee,” she proclaims. “Activism for me is just part and parcel of living, part and parcel of being a global citizen.” Iman joins Chance the Rapper and Vietnamese singer Suboi as global ambassadors of the collection.
